August has come, and that means we need to take another big step forward. This time, however, it is not about design or production, but about accounting and campaign fulfillment. We have to compile a final list of backers and pre-orders, which forces us to close the pledge manager.
Looking at the calendar, the best time to do this is the end of this week. That gives you a few days to complete your orders and close your pledges. And there are still many of you who need to do it:

Hello Everyone!
We are close to send the game files to print. Before we do this, we want to share the translated and layed-out files for final proofreading. If you have any remarks, please mark them directly on the files, using the Dropbox tools. We will be collecting them till the end of this week. Then our native proofreaders will use them for the final edition of the rules and we will be able to put them to print.
Spanish edition is published by Editiones Mas Que Oca, which has prepared the printing files already.

Italian edition
As you can see, there are no Italian files here, as they weren’t delivered to us on time. We are very sorry, but the Italian edition of the game won’t be published.

UK Games Expo
We have been showing the nearly-final game components at UK Games Expo fair in Birmingham. Here are some photos from this event. You can see there the final add-ons quality (metal coins, wooden card-holders), and final plastic pieces. The playing mats are also in final production quality, but not in the final size (75x50 cm instead of 99x66 cm, as we had to fit them on the standard UKGE tables). Please note that the cardboard pieces are still handmade prototypes.
Of course, we went to a pub for a pint of some good old Victorian ale. Cheers!
Europe Divided
This week we have started a new Kickstarter campaign. Europe Divided is a tense strategy game of the political struggle in post-Cold War Europe. It starts, where Twilight Struggle ends, and brings you a great 2-players, card-driven strategy game experience in just a 60-90 minutes gameplay. Check it out!

News from the factory!

Hello Everyone,
The production of the game is running smoothly. Plastic injection is almost over, and now the miniatures are in assembly.
Here are some photos from the factory:

In a meantime the metal coins were produced, and they are ready to be assembled.
These items are manufactured in China, and will soon be imported to Poland, where the rest of the game will be printed.
We have just sent the final English language game files to the printing house. Files for other editions are now in translation and layout.
Other add-ons will be manufactured in Poland (card holders, playing mats, artbook).

Hello everyone,
Sorry for a small delay with publishing this update, but we wanted to prepare something really meaty for you, and here it goes!
Nanty Narking files for proofreading
Under these links you will find files, that are ready to be shown publicly, for the final proofreading. We have been looking at these files for the last three months (and we are almost blinded by this), so it is now your turn to take a look at them, with your millions of eyes. We will appreciate your help, to deliver you the best product possible! :)
Please mark your comments directly in the files, using the Dropbox tools. We will be waiting for them till the end of the month. Then our native proofreader will use them for the final edition of the rules and we will be able to send the text to our publishing partners for translation and layout.
Here are some new photos from our plastic pieces factory. Recently we have received a new wave of testing shots, for the final approval of colours.
The biggest problem was (as always) with the red colour, but we have found the right one, similar to the King Dragoon Guards uniforms’ shade.
Having all miniature sculpts approved, we could start to work on the miniature tray. Here is the recent project, but it is not the final one, as some adjustments are still needed.

New preview

New campaign from PHALANX
As you can see above, we are working hard to deliver you the Nanty Narking game on time, with the best components possible. This project is in a state of development which allows us to start a new game on Kickstarter: Freedom! - by renowned author Vangelis Bagiartakis. It is a deep strategic game for two players - reviewers describe it as a game in which “Twilight Struggle meets Stronghold”.
There is even a small connection between Nanty Narking and this new title. Our Lenore Lloyd protagonist was inspired by a real person - Florence Nightingale. Quoting the Wikipedia here:
As a young woman, Nightingale was described as attractive, slender and graceful. While her demeanour was often severe, she was said to be very charming and to possess a radiant smile. Her most persistent suitor was the politician and poet Richard Monckton Milnes, but after a nine-year courtship she rejected him, convinced that marriage would interfere with her ability to follow her calling to nursing.
Florence was a serious social reformer, not scared to leave a comfortable life and enter the bloodiest battleground of her era to pursue her beliefs. A kind of heroin from Romantic era, that could act as Lenore in the Nanty Narking’s plot, or lead people in the final charge of the Freedom’s battlefield. So please leave your cosy seats of London’s pub and enter the thrilling no-man’s-land of the battle that brought freedom to a nation enslaved for centuries.

The molds are ready

Hello everyone,
Today is the day of a true production update, as the miniatures shapes were approved and the manufacturer was able to produce molds for mass production. This is what the final assembled mold looks like, ready for a plastic injection.
But what is inside? Many smaller molds for specific parts of the miniatures.
These are connected by corridors that will deliver the liquid PVC plastic into the molds.
The smaller molds must be assembled in the right way...
...as there are plenty of them!
And here is a closeup of a Horse Guard miniature mold. You can see the shape of a horse, horse’s tail, rider, rider’s hand and the miniature’s base. As you can see the miniature will be assembled from smaller pieces. This allows us to provide the miniature with the highest possible level of details.
The first plastic injection has been already done. In two weeks we will receive the complete miniatures set for approval. In the same parcel we will receive color plates, to approve the final colors of plastic:
We do not forget about other time-consuming processes, like production of coins. We need plenty of them!
These are the pieces made for approval, before applying colors to them.
In the meantime we work on the final version of rules, aid cards and game cards. These should be ready by the end of this week, and then the proofreading starts.
We hope that in the next update we will be able to show you the approval set of plastic pieces and laid out game files. So far we are on track with production, so please keep your fingers crossed to keep the odds on our side! :)
